To make this feijoa smoothie extra creamy, cut up the banana and freeze the night before. If you like this smoothie, you’ll like this feijoa, kale and apple smoothie.
With this recipe, you can use dairy-free coconut yoghurt and non-dairy milk such as coconut, almond or soy milk if you’d prefer.
Feijoa flesh freezes well, which is perfect if you have too many feijoas than you can eat. Simply scoop out the flesh and pop into zip lock bags. That way you can enjoy the tart flavour of feijoa year-round.
- banana 1
- feijoas 4, peeled and chopped
- spinach leaves 6
- ice cubes 4
- vanilla yoghurt 1 cup
- milk ½ cup
- Place banana, feijoas, spinach leaves and ice cubes into a blender and whizz until smooshy.
- Add vanilla yoghurt and milk and whizz until creamy. Pour into glasses or bottles.
- Top with a sprinkle of muesli or granola for a breakfast treat.
