Beetroot, Apple and Berry Smoothie

The deep vibrant colour of this smoothie is proof of its high antioxidant content. The apple, beetroot and berries give a nice mix of sweet, earthy and tart flavours.

  • 1 ½ cups frozen berries
  • 1 cup beetroot grated
  • 1 peach or nectarine flesh
  • 1 apple grated
  • 3 teaspoons liquid honey or apple syrup
  • 3⁄4 cup water
  • 6 ice cubes


  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add a little more water if needed to reach desired consistency. Pour into glasses and serve.
