Beetroot, Apple and Berry Smoothie

The deep vibrant colour of this smoothie is proof of its high antioxidant content. The apple, beetroot and berries give a nice mix of sweet, earthy and tart flavours.

Ingredients

  • frozen berries 1 ½ cups
  • beetroot 1 cup grated
  • peach or nectarine flesh of 1
  • apple 1, grated
  • liquid honey or apple syrup 2-3 teaspoons
  • water ​3⁄4 cup
  • ice cubes 5-6

Method

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add a little more water if needed to reach desired consistency. Pour into glasses and serve.
