I worked as a diabetes dietitian for a few years before becoming full time in the food industry, so I know how people with diabetes often struggle with wondering what they can eat! The good news is, the best ‘diet’ for someone with diabetes is just a normal, healthy balanced diet, primarilly with lots of fresh vegetables, and not too much sugar (including from natural sources). The recipes in this section keep tabs on carbohydrate portion size, sugar content and saturated fat, are high in fibre and have a low glycaemic index.
