Lemon and orange sangria

This sangria is perfect for a hot day! Adding lots of ice and fruit keeps it super refreshing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bottle Spanish red wine
  • 400-500 ml dry lemonade
  • cups orange juice
  • lemon juice of ½
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • lots of ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • In a large jug mix Spanish red wine, dry lemonade, orange juice, lemon juice, sliced orange and sliced lemon.
  • Serve with lots of ice cubes.

Notes

Sangria is ideal if you don’t want to drink too much alcohol, as the wine gets diluted by the other ingredients. Let the mixture sit in the fridge so the flavours can meld together before adding the ice. You can use a dry white wine for this recipe if you’d prefer it, or even a sparkling wine, however red wine is traditional.
