Ice creams and Sorbets
Summer is in full swing in the Southern Hemisphere (yippee!), and what better way to celebrate than with an ice cream or sorbet! I love making my own using fruit as the base; it’s like your eating a treat but it’s good for you!
A lot of people think you need a fancy ice cream maker machine to make ice creams and sorbets, but all you need is a freezer and a food processor (not a blender). You can get really creative with the flavours you make. Here are some of my favourites. The Black Doris Plum Sorbet is sensational, it has a really intense plum flavour (a shot of gin or vodka is optional!). For a creamy, dairy-free ice cream try the Mango Avocado Gelato (the avocado gives it a really creamy texture). And the Banana and Honey ‘Ice cream’ is always a winner with the kids. Enjoy!
